Apply for our new Medical Assistant program today! The Medical Assistant program is available through a co-op with Southeastern Community College (SCC). Medical Assistants perform both administrative and clinical tasks, taking patient's vitals, recording medical histories and other tasks assigned by the healthcare facility. After only eleven months, students will receive their diploma and are eligible to write the national certification examination for certified medical assistants administered by the American Association for Medical Assistant.

Graduates will be career ready for a job at a clinic, hospital or physician's office. Students will complete courses for the program at both the IHCC Campus and the Burlington SCC Campus. The national average starting wage for Medical Assistant is $16 an hour.
